The two frogs ignored(忽视) what they said and tried to jump up and out of the hole. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, the hole was too deep, they would die, it was no use to try. Finally, one of the frogs followed what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the other frogs shouted at him to stop and just wait to die. He jumped even harder until finally he succeeded(成功). The other frogs were surprised and said, "Didn’t you hear us?" The frog told them that he was deaf and that he thought they were encouraging(鼓励) him all the time.
