题目内容:
Many of us might want to take on traditional jobs when we grow up such as being a doctor or a lawyer. However, there are many more choices than just these that are available today.
In October, a jobhunting website Zhao pin. corn gave a report after surveying people who work in more than 800 different jobs in major Chinese cities. These jobs include early childhood educator, fitness coach and make-up artist. Most of the jobs pay well, with one in three workers making more than 8,000 yuan a month. The top-paying is vet about 29 percent of these animal doctors make over 20,000 yuan per month.
These workers’ educational background is also impressive (令人印象深刻的). Over 60 percent of the surveyed workers have a college degree or above, the report says. Most of the workers said they chose their jobs because of love and interest in the area. Many of the jobs are no longer taken by only one sex. For example, the report found that one-third of child care workers are men. These positions used to be filled almost only by women.
Many of these jobs are in the service industry. Economic (经济) development means more people are in greater need of high quality services, China News Service noted. For example, a number of people have started to raise pets. Pet owners spent about 4,800 yuan on one pet in 2019, an increase of 20 percent from 2018, Xinhua reported. The growing need for animal care, therefore, has encouraged more people to become vets.
