“Decha! Come over, we need someone who knows what they’re doing in goal!” I yelled.
“I can’t! I have to do something/’ he shouted hack, as he continued to walk down the dusty road. The village shops were in the other direction and, as far as I knew, this road went through the jungle.
“It won’t take long. Just half an hour! They’re killing us! It’s 3-0 already, we really need you,” I begged. It was unlike Decha to turn down a game of football.
“Where are you going anyway?” I asked as I fell into step with him.
“It’s just a …” he was looking over his shoulder at the other boys, but they weren’t paying us any attention. “You can come if you like.” he whispered. I don’t know what it was, but suddenly my interest was aroused. Decha was a football addict. I knew my friend was up to something.
“OK,” I said casually, trying to hide my curiosity.
