He said, “Thank you for giving me enough money.” He continued, “I just asked God to give me enough money to buy this doll, and he heard my prayer.”

Soon the woman came back and I left. I remembered a story I had read in the newspaper several days earlier about a drunk driver who hit a car. A little girl was killed and her mother was in serious condition. Two days later, I read the news that the mother had died.
