U2 is the name of a band from Dublin, Ireland. ① It is one of the most famous rock bands in the world .

Larry Mullen was 17 years old in 1978.  He was a student and studied in a high school.  He showed great interest in music. His dream was to have his own band . So he began to look for musicians to form a band.  At last, in the fall of that year, he found another three boys and they ② set up a band. They named their band U2. No one knows for certain what U2 means. Some people guess it refers to You ,too. Maybe it means We are together.

This band won several Grammies (格莱美奖) and became famous in the year 1980s.

Many years has passed. But the four members of the band are still close friends. They’re still making music; they are still giving concerts in different countries; they’re still welcomed all over the world. I’m still enjoying the songs of this band. I think it is a Never old band in my heart.
